Welcome! This Help & FAQ explains how to use DiscreetFan.com as a Fan or Creator, how payments and payouts work, safety rules, and your rights under Philippine law. If you still need help, message us via the Contact page or email admin@discreetfan.com.


1) Getting Started

1.1 Fans (buyers/viewers)

Q. How do I view paid content?
Create an account → verify your email/number → add a payment method at checkout → subscribe to a Creator, unlock a pay-per-view (PPV), tip, or join a live stream if available.

Q. Can I cancel a subscription?
Yes. Go to Settings → Billing/Subscriptions and click Cancel. Your access remains until the current period ends.

Q. What payment methods are available?
Methods shown at checkout may include GCash, cards/PayPal, and bank transfer. Availability can change per country, currency, or risk controls.

Q. Do I get receipts?
Yes—find receipts under Settings → Billing/Payments. For bank/GCash transfers, upload proof (screenshot) and include the transaction number in the Notes if requested.

1.2 Creators (sellers)

Q. How do I start earning?
Apply as a Creator → complete KYC/ID (government ID + selfie) → set pricing (subscriptions/PPV/tips) → upload posts or go live → share your profile link.

Q. What content can I upload?
Original content you own, compliant with our 18+ policy and Philippine laws. See Content Rules below.

Q. How do payouts work?
Choose a payout method (e.g., GCash or bank transfer) in Settings → Payouts. Payout frequency, thresholds, and fees are shown in your dashboard and may vary by method/region.


2) Accounts, Safety & Verification

Q. Why do you need my ID?
We must verify creators are 18+ and comply with anti-fraud and safety laws. We use secure verification providers and follow the Data Privacy Act (RA 10173).

Q. How do I secure my account?
Use a unique password, enable any available multi-factor authentication, and never share login details. We’ll never ask for your password.

Q. Can I block or report someone?
Yes—use the menu on a profile, post, or message to Block or Report. Our team reviews reports and may warn, restrict, or remove users/content.


3) Buying, Access & Refunds

Q. What’s the difference between subscription, PPV, and tips?

  • Subscription: monthly (or stated term) access to a Creator’s subscriber posts.

  • PPV: one-off unlock for a specific post/stream/VOD.

  • Tip: voluntary support; no extra access unless labeled as a paid unlock.

Q. How are renewals billed?
Subscriptions renew automatically each period until cancelled. You can cancel anytime from your billing settings.

Q. Do you offer refunds?
Digital access is delivered immediately; all sales are generally final. We may issue a refund/credit for duplicate charges, technical failure we confirm, or fraud. Disputes should be filed via Contact with your order ID and evidence.


4) Payouts, Fees & Taxes (Creators)

Q. What are fees?
Your dashboard shows the Platform fee and any gateway/FX fees. These are deducted from Earnings before payout.

Q. When will I be paid?
After clearing risk checks and meeting the minimum threshold. Timing depends on method (bank/GCash) and weekends/holidays.

Q. Taxes?
Creators are responsible for taxes on income (BIR). We may request TIN or forms and withhold when required. Download statements in Settings → Payouts/Statements.


5) Content Rules (18+, Consents, IP)

Q. What is strictly prohibited?

  • Any depiction of minors (or those appearing under 18).

  • Non-consensual, hidden-camera, coerced, or trafficking content.

  • Real violence or threats, doxxing, or criminal instructions.

  • Infringement of others’ copyright, trademarks, or likeness.

  • Malware, spam, scraping, bypassing security/DRM, or re-uploads of paid content.

Q. Do I need model releases?
Yes. Every person depicted must be 18+ and sign a written consent covering depiction, public distribution on DiscreetFan, and commercial use. Keep releases and ID records for at least 7 years; provide upon request.

Q. Can I use music or clips I don’t own?
Only if you have a license. You’re responsible for rights clearance and any royalties.


6) Uploads, Streaming & Technical Help

Q. Supported files and limits?
Most common image, video, and audio formats work. The upload dialog shows size/length limits. Videos may be transcoded for streaming.

Q. Why is download disabled? Can fans screen-record?
We use stream-only delivery and tokens to discourage downloads, but no platform can fully prevent screen capture. Piracy reports are acted on quickly—see §7.

Q. Live streaming tips
Use a stable connection (prefer wired/5G), close background apps, and set a reasonable bitrate. If your session drops, try a lower bitrate or resolution.


7) Anti-Piracy & Takedowns

Q. My content was leaked—what do I do?
Send us links and evidence via Contact. We use watermarking, tokenized links, and takedown services. We can issue notices to host/CDN/search providers and escalate repeat offenders.

Q. How do I file an IP takedown (copyright/likeness)?
Provide:

  • Your legal name and contact, proof of ownership/identity.

  • The original content/URL and the infringing URL(s).

  • A good-faith statement and a sworn statement that the info is accurate and you’re the owner/authorized agent.

8) Privacy & Data

Q. What data do you collect?
Account details, device/usage logs, transactions/payouts, and creator KYC where applicable. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

Q. Where is data stored?
On secure infrastructure (including international providers) with encryption in transit and at rest, access controls, and vendor contracts compliant with RA 10173.

Q. Can I access or delete my data?
Yes—submit a request via Contact or email admin@discreetfan.com. Some records (e.g., tax/payout/abuse logs) must be retained for legal reasons.


9) Community, Messaging & Safety

Q. Someone is harassing me.
Block the user and report the conversation/post. We may warn, restrict, or ban accounts that violate rules.

Q. Off-platform solicitations?
Avoid paying or requesting payment off-platform for equivalent goods/services offered here; it increases fraud risk and may violate policies.


10) Legal & Compliance (Philippines)

Q. Which laws apply?
Your use must follow the Data Privacy Act (RA 10173), E-Commerce Act (RA 8792), IP Code (RA 8293), Cybercrime Prevention Act (RA 10175), Anti-Child Pornography Act (RA 9775), Anti-Photo and Video Voyeurism Act (RA 9995), Safe Spaces Act (RA 11313), and the Revised Penal Code.

Q. How are disputes handled?
We encourage amicable resolution first. Unresolved disputes may be submitted to PDRCI arbitration in Makati City under our Terms.


11) Troubleshooting

Payments fail (Fan).

  • Check card/wallet funds and 3-D Secure/OTP.

  • Try another method (e.g., GCash vs. card).

  • Clear cache or try an incognito window/VPN off.

  • If still failing, send us the error message and timestamp.

Payout delayed (Creator).

  • Verify KYC and payout info is approved.

  • Check weekends/holidays and method-specific timelines.

  • Ensure you met the minimum threshold and there are no open disputes/chargebacks.

Upload stuck or video not processing.

  • Re-encode with H.264/AAC, lower bitrate/resolution, and try again.

  • Ensure your internet isn’t dropping; large files may take time to transcode.


12) Policies Snapshot

  • Age: 18+ only.

  • Refunds: Generally final; see §3.

  • Piracy: Forbidden; takedowns enforced (§7).

  • Data rights: Access, correction, deletion requests honored under RA 10173.

  • Creator duties: Model releases/ID for all depicted adults; keep records 7+ years.

  • Safety: Block/report tools available; zero tolerance for exploitation or minors.
